Picture Library for New Zealand History. A library of contemporary images depicting historical New Zealand sites.

Over 3000 images from the North Island and the South Island will be added over the next few months. Subscribers can download these higher quality images and subscribers can freely use them for teaching purposes.

Clicking on the images provides access to higher resolution copies of the image on display as well as a host of other related images

For example, the First Image, Mokau Rock Carvings provides access to other Rock Carvings images form Mokau. The "Sealing", "Parihaka" and "Votes for Women" image also provides access to the image library for those topics.

Images are being added to on a regular basis. Please contact schoolhistory NZ if you desire images of topics that have not yet been added to the image library. We might have them in our library but they might have not yet been uploaded.
